The main objective of this study was to give an estimate of the spread of COVID-19 (“Corona Virus”) among non-hospitalized people living in Austria. This study is the first in continental Europe based upon nationwide PCR-testing in a representative random sample. PCR samples were collected in the period of April 1 to April 6, 2020.
