The data in this study were collected from participants in the Data Donation Study (ZA9079). The dataset contains survey data on the use of online search engines and streaming platforms. In addition, it includes information on hypothetical willingness to donate data from various online platforms, on the perceived sensitivity of data from different platforms, and on perceived difficulties during the conduct of the Data Donation Study for a total of 81 participants. The dataset can be linked to the data from the Search and Stream Data Donation Study (ZA9079) as well as to the German survey data from the International Social Survey Programme (ISSP) 2024 survey, which focuses on internet use and digital participation. Participation in the Data Donation Study and the short survey was voluntary, meaning that the dataset consists of a self-selective subsample of the German ISSP 2024 target population. Data collection took place between June and October 2025 based on data donations and a short accompanying survey via the Next Data Donation platform. All target individuals of the German ISSP 2024 survey (field phase: June–September 2025) received a flyer with an invitation to participate in the data donation study along with their postal invitation. The target participants were randomly assigned to one of two study groups: one group was invited to donate their Google search data, the other to donate their Spotify streaming data.Die Search and Stream Kurzbefragung zur Datenspende ist ein Datensatz mit begleitenden Befragungsdaten zur Search and Stream Datenspende-Studie (ZA9079). Die Daten der vorliegenden Studie wurden unter den an der Datenspende-Studie (ZA9079) teilnehmenden Personen erhoben. Der Datensatz enthält Befragungsdaten zur Nutzung von Online-Suchmaschinen sowie von Streaming-Plattformen. Darüber hinaus umfasst er Angaben zur hypothetischen Bereitschaft, Daten aus verschiedenen Online-Plattformen zu spenden, zur wahrgenommenen Sensibilität von Daten unterschiedlicher Plattformen sowie zu wahrgenommenen Schwierigkeiten während der Durchführung der Datenspende-Studie für insgesamt 81 Teilnehmende. Der Datensatz ist mit den Daten der Search and Stream Data Donation Study (ZA9079) sowie mit den deutschen Umfragedaten der International Social Survey Programme (ISSP) 2024-Erhebung verknüpfbar, die den Schwerpunkt auf Internetnutzung und digitale Partizipation legen. Die Teilnahme an der Data-Donation-Studie sowie an der Kurzbefragung erfolgte freiwillig, sodass es sich bei dem Datensatz um eine selbstselektive Teilstichprobe der deutschen ISSP 2024-Zielpersonen handelt. Die Datenerhebung erfolgte im Zeitraum von Juni bis Oktober 2025 auf Basis von Datenspenden und einer kurzen Begleitbefragung über die Next-Data-Donation-Plattform. Alle Zielpersonen der deutschen ISSP 2024 Befragung (Feldphase: Juni–September 2025) erhielten gemeinsam mit der postalischen Einladung einen Flyer mit der Einladung zur Teilnahme an der Datenspende-Studie.
