It gathers data on individual respondents, focusing on migration histories, integration success, experiences of discrimination and their effects on integration and migration behavior, life satisfaction, and the influence of socio-economic and institutional incentives on migration decisions. The TRANSMIT project is part of The German Center for Integration and Migration Research (DeZIM) research community and is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women, and Youth (BMFSFJ). It is a collaborative effort among the WZB Berlin Social Science Center, the Berlin Institute for Empirical Integration and Migration Research (BIM), the Institute for Employment Research (IAB), the Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies (IMIS), and the Mannheim Center for European Social Research (MZES).
