Topics: The content of this study is in large measure identical to the content of ZA Study No. 1483, to the extent it deals with the description of the general situation of older people. The following questions were posed regarding the situation in homes: location of the old people´s home in comparison with earlier residence; attitude to an old people´s home in earlier residential surroundings; length of residence in the home; housing situation in the old people´s home; reasons for moving to the old people´s home as well as influence of other persons on this decision; preference for remaining in personal residence or lodging in home; judgement on the regulations on going out and interest in longer stays away; characterization of situation in life in the old people´s home (scale); receipt of welfare; attitude to a common lunch for residents of the old people´s home and older fellow-citizens from the vicinity of the home. Demography: sex; year of birth; marital status; religious denomination; school education; employment; composition of household; memberships; occupation; occupation of spouse; housing situation; income; previous place of residence and length of local residency; possession of a telephone.Lebensumfeld und Lebenssituation der Bewohner von Einrichtungen der geschlossenen Altenhilfe. Themen: Der Inhalt dieser Studie ist weitgehend identisch mit dem Inhalt der ZA-Studien-Nr. 1483, soweit er sich auf die Beschreibung der allgemeinen Situation älterer Menschen bezieht. Bezüglich der Wohnheimsituation wurde zusätzlich gefragt: Lage des Altenheims im Vergleich zur früheren Wohnung; Einstellung zu einem Altenwohnheim im früheren Wohnumfeld; Wohndauer im Heim; Wohnsituation im Altenheim; Gründe für den Einzug ins Altenheim sowie Einflussnahme anderer Personen auf diese Entscheidung; Präferenz für Verbleib in eigener Wohnung oder Heimunterkunft; Beurteilung der Ausgangsregelungen und Interesse an längerem Ausbleiben; Charakterisierung der Lebenssituation im Altenheim (Skala); Erhalt von Sozialhilfe; Einstellung zu einem gemeinsamen Mittagstisch für Altenheimbewohner und ältere Mitbürger aus der Heimumgebung.
