Experiment 2 showed that compared with the control group, the metaphorical connection between morality and self-cleanliness was enhanced in the experimental group, and the score of prosocial behavior was significantly improved. In addition, we found that compared with environmental cleanliness, the self-cleanliness group had a more significant effect on the promotion of prosocial behavior.
