It contains information on online search behavior via Google Search and streaming behavior via Spotify for 32 ISSP respondents. The dataset can be linked to the ISSP 2024 survey data, which focuses on internet use and digital participation. Participation in the data donation study was voluntary; therefore, the dataset is based on a self-selected subsample of the ISSP 2024 target population. Data collection took place between June and October 2025 using data donations facilitated through the Next data donation platform. All target persons contacted for the ISSP 2024 survey (field phase: June–September 2025) received a flyer inviting them to participate in the data donation study together with the postal survey invitation. Target persons were randomly assigned to one of two study groups: one group was invited to donate their Google Search data, and the other to donate their Spotify streaming data. In addition, participants could complete a short accompanying survey that, among other topics, collected information on their experience with the data donation process and their hypothetical willingness to donate data from various online platforms. In the Google Search group, the dataset includes search terms used, titles and URLs of clicked search results, and corresponding timestamps (rounded to the nearest hour) covering the previous 365 days. In the Spotify group, the dataset contains information on music tracks and podcasts from the previous 365 days, as well as artists and podcasts saved in the Spotify library. For streaming history entries, the data include the names of artists or podcasts, titles of songs or episodes, timestamps (rounded to the nearest hour), and listening duration measured in minutes.Die Search and Stream Data Donation Study ist ein Datensatz auf Basis digitaler Verhaltensdaten, die mittels eines Data-Donation-Ansatzes von einer Teilstichprobe der Befragten der deutschen International Social Survey Programme (ISSP) -Erhebung 2024 erhoben wurden. Der Datensatz enthält Informationen zum Online-Suchverhalten über Google Search sowie zum Streaming-Verhalten über Spotify von insgesamt 32 ISSP-Befragten. Der Datensatz ist mit den ISSP 2024 Umfragedaten verknüpfbar, die den Schwerpunkt auf Internetnutzung und digitale Partizipation legen. Die Teilnahme an der Data-Donation-Studie erfolgte freiwillig, sodass es sich bei dem Datensatz um eine selbstselektive Teilstichprobe der ISSP 2024-Zielpersonen handelt. In der Google-Suche-Gruppe umfasst der Datensatz die verwendeten Suchbegriffe, die Titel und URLs der angeklickten Suchergebnisse sowie die zugehörigen Zeitstempel (auf die nächste Stunde gerundet) für die vergangenen 365 Tage. In der Spotify-Gruppe enthält der Datensatz Informationen zu Musikstücken und Podcasts aus den vergangenen 365 Tagen sowie zu in der Spotify-Bibliothek gespeicherten Künstler:innen und Podcasts.
