This dataset comprises data from a survey of nonprofit organizations (NPOs) in the metropolitan region of Vienna, Austria. The data was collected between October 2019 and December 2020 and provides a comprehensive overview of the current state of the nonprofit sector in Vienna. It comprises a representative sample of 358 NPOs and an additional targeted sample of 235 large NPOs. The survey includes more than 60 questions covering a wide range of topics, including organizational goals and activities, beneficiary and staff demographics, different forms of organizing and related practices, performance metrics, budgeting, funding sources, and collaborative efforts.
