In Great Britain the following questions were also asked: confidence in the USA; attitude to the use of atomic bombs or hydrogen bombs on enemy cities as well as on front-line troops; attitude to British nuclear tests in the Pacific and an unconditional halt to these tests. In the Federal Republic the following questions were also encoded: day of interview and willingness of respondent to cooperate.
