The data aims to empirically assess public opinion on the willingness to redistribute resources beyond national borders and across the EU, in order to face shared threats and adversity, while also examining the determinants of these preferences. The survey design covers a vast number of issues, particularly concerning attitudes towards European solidarity; preferences for solidarity in the scope of different types of crises (including COVID-19 and the war in Ukraine); satisfaction and trust in national and European institutions; attitudes towards European integration, national identity, democracy, world politics, security and defence, Russia, NATO and a united European army; electoral behaviour; issue salience; political ideology, religion and other social attitudes; as well as other individual attributes such as gender, age and occupation. The survey inquired 29.784 adults across 21 EU countries and the United Kingdom, from 2nd - 28th May 2025.
