The methods used to reconcile the various sources of work-life histories in the BHPS are documented in an accompanying ISER working paper (see Documentation section below). The programmes allow users to apply their own rules for dealing with inconsistencies in survey responses. The derived work-life history files in this deposit should be seen as a complement to other BHPS Work-Life History files (1990-2005) available from the UK Data Archive under SN 3954.
