      <abstract xml:lang="en">&lt;P&gt;Abstract copyright UK Data Service and data collection copyright owner.&lt;/P&gt;</abstract><abstract xml:lang="en">The aims of this project were to create and update an electronic version of a finding aid originally published in 1975 as &lt;i&gt;Economist's Papers 1750-1950; a Guide to Archive and other Manuscript Sources for the History of British and Irish Economic Thought&lt;/i&gt;. &lt;br&gt; This project aims at having a website which will:&lt;br&gt; - accommodate a downloadable version of the original guide&lt;br&gt; - facilitate revision of the entries on the basis of more up-to-date information&lt;br&gt; - extend the guide's coverage to include economists who died after 1950&lt;br&gt; - enlist the support and gather information relevant to the project from archivist and other scholars&lt;br&gt; - enhance interest in the preservation of archive material that will be of value to future historians</abstract><abstract xml:lang="en">&lt;B&gt;Main Topics&lt;/B&gt;:&lt;BR&gt;</abstract><abstract xml:lang="en">This resource, as deposited with History Data Service, consists of a document where details of the types of manuscripts, papers and correspondence for a selection of British and Irish economists for the period of 1750 to 2000 are shown. The main correspondents are identified, together with the quantity of letters and the period over which the correspondence lasted. The existence of relevant research material, such as printed biographical treatments of the subject, is also noted in this document.&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt;</abstract>
