Topics: demands of vacation and taking vacation; frequency of vacation in the last 3 years; characterization of one´s own vacation preference; psychological demands of a vacation; point in time and length of vacation decision; most important criteria for travel planning; sources of information; times of vacation and length of vacation; preferred forms of countryside; preferred form of organization of vacation trip; means of transport used; lodging and meals at place of vacation; travel companion; most important requirements of a vacation appropriate for children or families; vacation with parents; vacation expenditures; preferred activities and athletic activities on vacation; travel agency and booking; general vacation satisfaction; future destinations at home and abroad; most important criteria for a future main vacation; personal opinion leadership or opinion allegiance in the matter of vacation; detailed information on second and third trips. The following additional questions were posed to those not traveling: reasons for not taking a vacation trip; vacation habits and activities on vacation; year of last vacation trip and reasons against vacation trip; destination and means of transport of the last vacation trip. Miscellaneous: car possession; size of residential building; consumer areas in which economies could be achieved given falling standard of living; judgement on one´s own economic situation and assessment of future development. Demography: age; sex; marital status; number of children; ages of children (classified); religious denomination; school education; occupation; occupational position; employment; household income; size of household; composition of household; respondent is head of household; characteristics of head of household; residential status; living together with a partner; number of persons in household with their own income; number of families also living in the building (estimate); having a yard; readiness for participation in a similar follow-up survey.
