This hypothesis was tested using a wages equation. If economic theory is correct, it would be expected that jobs which are more prone to accident would indeed offer a higher wage.<B>Main Topics</B>:<BR>The dataset consists of a selection of variables taken from Wave 1 of the British Household Panel Survey (BHPS). Additional variables were derived from these BHPS variables. In addition, three variables created from data from the Winter quarters of the 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996 and 1997 Quarterly Labour Force Surveys (QLFS - see SNs 3221, 3442, 3559, 3718 and 3829) are also included.
