For all the above-mentioned topics information about quality and origin of the variables has additionally been encoded. Beyond this data information was recorded on whether further characteristics were surveyed in the initial investigation reports. The information in these variables is restricted to the dichotomy ´information in the source reports available´ or ´information in the source reports not available´. In this sense the following variables were collected: social interconnection; length of residence; income; amount of rent; trip to work; desire for replacement residence; size of residence; residential furnishing; quality of structure; interconnection of the region; possibilities and conducting planning; readiness of residents and owner to participate; characterization of traffic situation and city image; questions of protection of historical monuments.Wirtschaftliche, bauliche und sozioökonomische Beschreibung von städtischen Sanierungsgebieten in der Bundesrepublik in Form von Aggregatdaten auf der Ebene der einzelnen Sanierungsgebiete. Themen: Lage des Sanierungsgebiets in der Gemeinde; Bebauungsdichte; Größe des Sanierungsgebiets; Betriebs- und Dienststellenstruktur; Anteil von Handwerksbetrieben, Einzelhandelsbetrieben, Dienstleistungsbetrieben und landwirtschaftlichen Betrieben; Beschäftigte in den einzelnen Betriebsarten; Größe, Anzahl und Eigentumsverhältnisse der Grundstücke im Sanierungsgebiet; Gebäudealter; Gebäudezustand und Gebäudenutzung; Anteil der Wohnungen ohne Toilette und ohne Bad; Sozialstruktur der Wohnbevölkerung; Ausländeranteil; Jugendlichenanteil und Rentneranteil; Gesamterwerbstätigenzahl; Arbeiteranteil und Anteil von Selbständigen; Anzahl der Einpersonenhaushalte und 5-Personen-Haushalte; Anteil der Mieterhaushalte. Über diese Daten hinaus wurden Informationen darüber aufgenommen, ob weitere Merkmale in den zugrunde liegenden Untersuchungsberichten erhoben worden sind.
