The main themes are: Theoretical considerations on the construction of a value catalog, used in terms of a - Starting point for a sample of newspaper articles - Justification of the selection of Vossische Zeitung as a suitable empirical data base and the selection of new year’s articles and poems to demonstrate the long-term changes in values - Construction of a periodization pattern for the connection of change in values and the socio-economic context - Development of interpretation patterns for the basic orientation of political language and actualization of values and - Presentation of stability and changes in political languageAm Beispiel ausgewählter Artikelgruppen der Vossischen Zeitung, von 1740, über die Revolutionszeit 1848/49 bis zur Publikationseinstellung unter dem Druck der Nationalsozialisten 1934, untersucht die Studie den Wertewandel und den Wandel der politischen Sprache im sozioökonomischen Kontext vermittels einer computergestützten quantitativen und qualitativen Inhaltsanalyse. Hierbei geht es vornehmlich um: Theoretische Überlegungen zur Erstellung eines Wertekatalogs als - Ausgangsbasis für eine Stichprobe von Zeitungsartikeln, - Begründung der Auswahl der Vossischen Zeitung als geeignete empirische Quellenbasis als auch der Auswahl der Neujahrsartikel und Neujahrsgedichte im Hinblick auf eine Analyse langfristigen Wertewandels, - die Schaffung eines Periodisierungsrasters zum Zusammenhang von Wertewandel und sozioökonomischen Kontext; hierbei werden der Akteur- und Themenkatalog sowie die Feststellung der Grundstimmung und der zeitlichen Orientierung vorgenommen, - Entwicklung von Deutungsmustern zur Grundorientierung politischer Sprache und Werteaktualisierung und - Darstellung von Stabilität und Wandel politischer Sprache.
